[Nageki can't tell himself that he agrees with Kaworu, but he goes silent all the same, unwilling to argue -- especially if it will make him look as though he's unappreciative, or as though he doesn't want Kaworu to think he was doing it out of compassion. he's happy to be thanked, whether it's warranted or not.
